I am always seeking opportunities to put my PR, writing, research, social media and editing skills to use for brands - whether it's in a staff role or on a freelance basis.
Clients: MUBI, Levis, The Edition, VEVO, Garnier, Feeld, Voltarol, Inditex, VMO2, New Balance, Westfield, Mini, Rolls Royce, Unilever, Mercedes AMG, Benefit, Dr. Martens, EllaOne, Diesel, G Star Raw, Durex, Badoo, Dr Oetker, Calvin Klein, Daye, Canali.
To give you a taster of my in-house work: At GAY TIMES, I work to support the commercial team with editorial insights and strategy and have contributed to the brand's Queer, Now & Next report exploring the cultural and socio-political realities facing LGBTQIA+ communities in 2024, as well as ideating, writing articles, writing social media copy, editing social media video scripts and leading on creative for the Through the Lens content and event series with MUBI, writing social media and website copy and directing a social media video with director Levan Akin for the UK release of the film Crossing, providing casting options and profiling emerging creatives for an editorial project amplifying Levi's Rainbow Rodeo Pride campaign, providing guest list curation for a collaborative event with The Edition Madrid celebrating Madrid Pride, working with VEVO on their Pride content curation by updating pre-established queer-themed playlists as well as concepting and curating a playlist of queer Spanish-language artists. casting and talent managing social media and editorial content and writing editorial content for a campaign highlighting Garnier's ‘Remove Your Makeup, Never Remove Your Pride’ campaign, and delving into the world of sexual fluidity for a branded partnership with the queer-friendly dating app Feeld. I've even jumped in front of the camera, hosting video content for a partnership with Voltarol.
Also at GAY TIMES, I also contributed to white label content - leading on the text for a collaborative project with Inditex's (the parent company of Zara, Bershka, Oysho, Massimo Dutti etc) internal HR platform to create a microsite which celebrated the LGBTQIA+ community and educated allies. The project required me to work from source materials in Spanish and the final product (written by me in English) was translated into 22 lanuages.
While at woo, I worked on ideation and edits across a partnership with communications company VMO2 on a Gen Z targeted campaign exploring the circular economy. For the "Run Your Way" partnership with shoewear brand New Balance, which explored the joys of running, I edited across the series and drew on my own experiences to contribute an article about the mental challenges of running a marathon. I also project-managed all product writing, copywriting and supporting editorial for the "artefacts of planet woo" own-brand clothing line.
At RANKIN, I worked on briefs for a range of brands including Mini, Rolls Royce, Unilever, Mercedes AMG, Benefit and Dr. Martens to deliver everything from social media content to branded editorial to white label content in a dynamic, hybrid agency-editorial environment.
To give you a taster of my freelance work: I have been commissioned to produce copy and editorial content for brands such as contraception brand EllaOne, fashion label Diesel, denim brand G Star Raw, Durex, dating app Badoo, pizza brand Dr Oetker, CBD tampon start-up Daye, queer fitness brand Gayns, fluid dating app Feeld and Italian luxury menswear brand Canali.
I've also interviewed Chella Man and Mary V Benoit for SLEEK as part of Calvin Klein's #ProudInMyCalvins campaign, profiled Parisian feminist collective and festival committee Burning Womxn as part of Crack's ALL ACCESS festivals partnership with Dr Martens and worked on a freelance basis to write features and listings for the Westfield Stratford shopping centre magazine E20 Journal.
Interested in consultancy? I've consulted for sexual health brand Durex on their Pride activations, while also consulting for Soho House Notes on their Love & Sex content offering.
Looking for help on a book or exhibition project?: In 2020 I worked as part of the editorial team at RANKIN to contribute writing, interviews and proof-reading to the Royal London spear-headed book How To Die Well: A Practical Guide To Death Dying and Loss and worked as part of a small team to write copy for the Rankin x Royal London digital exhibition Lost for Words.
Are you a PR? I also write artist biographies: a service I have already carried out for artist Nora Nord and musician Toya Delazy. Having previously worked in PR, I am also available to write press releases.
